About the Design
Badge Hunters are a Team. Inspired by our weekly LEQP Badge Hunter Series on Zwift, this special edition cycling cap combines our love for exploration in real-life and our virtual life. All of us have had to connect in different ways lately, but the spirit of riding together, exploring together and hunting together remains the same. Our Badge Hunter cycling cap, designed by artist and cyclist Tabi Sutherland, borrows elements from cycling in Provence and Badge Hunting on Zwift. This design, done completely digitally, references our new abstract reality with the tactile experience of adventure and the unknown.
Here is what Tabi had to say about the process in designing this eye-catching cap:
“I used images from our trip in Provence. I gravitated towards the Turini and Ventoux climbs. Inspiration came from the Team Kit, David Hockney digital drawings and Zwift worlds. I experimented with digital drawing. Initially starting with minimal lines and shapes. Keeping the L’Equipe Provence colours throughout, mixing the idea of a digital glitch, climbs and going on a journey. What I liked about these is the playfulness and minimalism. I also experimented with different textures, mark making and the unmissable orange associated with Zwift.”
